Federal Courthouse Construction Raising Downtown

The federal courthouse currently under construction on 19th Street is taking new shape everyday. Recent walls have been lifted into place and cranes can be seen at the site often.

Downtown Bakersfield is seeing a tremendous push toward revival and the courthouse located between S and R Streets will be a major boost to the aesthetic appeal of our skyline. The building will also create a wonderful new background for visitors to Central Park's Mill Creek area.

Q Street is also currently experiencing construction work on underground service utilities between 21st and 17th Streets. Crews are on hand to control traffic.
